Privacy policy
This policy describes CommunityCapture's current photo access workflow. It should be reviewed whenever hosting, cookies, email delivery, retention periods or connected services change.

2. What information is processed?
When you visit this website, the web server may process technical data such as IP address, request time, requested pages and browser information for delivery, troubleshooting and security. When you look up a photograph, CommunityCapture processes the event identifier, image number and your personal access code. Photos may include identifiable people. Administrative access and access tokens for connected Microsoft services are handled in protected backend areas.
3. Why is this information used?
To operate and protect this website, check whether the supplied event/image/code combination grants access, locate the corresponding files, deliver authorized downloads and respond to photo removal or privacy requests.
4. Service providers
Website hosting is provided through all-inkl. Microsoft's OneDrive is used to store event photos; Microsoft SharePoint stores access-code assignments; Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Graph are used for authenticated access and code verification. Data may be processed by these providers under their own service and data protection terms. The applicable storage and transfer locations depend on the connected Microsoft and hosting configurations.
5. Access codes and cookies
Personal photo codes are used to restrict access to assigned photographs. The website may use technically necessary session or signed-access cookies for authentication and short-lived photo download authorization. There is no intention to publish a searchable public photo gallery.
6. How long is data stored?
Records and event photographs are retained only for as long as required to provide the photo service, protect it against misuse, or satisfy applicable obligations. Specific retention periods have not yet been established publicly and must be reviewed against the actual hosting and Microsoft settings before launch. Requests to remove photographs will be assessed promptly.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on the applicable law, you may request information about personal data concerning you, correction, deletion or restriction of processing and may have additional rights. Contact mkeimeyer@gmx.net and identify the relevant event and photo where possible.
8. Legal framework
CommunityCapture is operated from Switzerland. The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection applies where relevant, and the EU General Data Protection Regulation may apply to certain processing involving people in the European Economic Area. The actual applicability and additional transparency duties depend on the service operation.
9. Updates
This information may be updated as the website evolves. Last updated: 1 November 2026.
